Concern Over LED Street Light Installation

The author has concerns about the methodology of installing LED streetlights. In the Havendale area, the old halogen lights were placed about 100 feet apart (one on each pole), giving a well-lit stretch for the entire length of the road. In this new dispensation, the new, brighter LED lights have now been placed on every other pole, a distance of up to 300 feet. Although each light is brighter, the distance between them now has created dark pockets on each road, giving cover to those who may not have your best interest at heart.
